Are you brave enough? – Extreme sports for an adrenaline kick
The other day we introduced you to some sports that not only provide you with a change of pace for everyday life, but also make your heart beat faster. Since this one found such a good response, we’ll follow up with another four sports that will give you an adrenaline rush at its finest.
If you are afraid of heights or drops, you really shouldn’t do one or the other of the sports we are presenting to you today. However, a pinch of respect for extreme sports never hurts.
1. Big Wave Surfing
You love to surf but somehow you are getting bored? Well, how about big wave surfing? The waves are partly as high as the Brandenburg Gate. Accordingly, you can not simply swim there. An extra helicopter has to drop you off at the starting point. It is important that you correctly evaluate the danger and force of the wave. Otherwise it can also end fatally.
2. Cave diving
Let’s stay in the water right away. Now we’re not riding the waves, but diving down into the depths of the sea. However, not in the conventional way, but a bit more challenging: Without daylight in a confined space, you dive through winding systems during cave diving. Spontaneous surfacing is not possible and panic attacks should be avoided as far as possible.

3. Ice climbing
A breathtaking natural spectacle in summer – a demanding challenge in winter: a waterfall. While in summer the water flows down a stone wall at breathtaking speed, in winter the same spot is the ideal place to hammer in an ice axe and climb up the ice wall. This is called ice climbing. The ice also changes its texture depending on the weather, which is why you always have to reassess it.
4. Wingsuit Flying
If skydiving or bungee jumping is too boring for you, you should try wingsuit flying. All you have to wear is a wingsuit and a helmet. The mecca for such athletes is in Switzerland, more precisely in Lauterbrunnen. It allows a free flight of almost 3.2 km. The drop rock has a height of 138 meters. Due to the low altitude, the parachute is also opened relatively late. However, this sport should not be taken lightly, as it has already claimed an above-average number of lives.
Statement
For numerous athletes, no mountain is too high and no cave too deep. But the risk should never be underestimated, as it can have fatal consequences in this case.
